Open Access Policy
JSSF is a fully Gold Open Access journal, committed to the principle that research should be freely available to all. This means:
- All published articles are freely and permanently available to anyone, anywhere in the world, immediately upon publication.
- No subscription fees, no paywalls, no registration required to read, download, or share articles.
- Authors retain full copyright of their work.
- Readers can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles.
JSSF complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of Open Access.
Copyright & Licensing
All articles published in JSSF are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
This license allows anyone to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially
Under the following condition:
- Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license provided, and any changes indicated.
Author Copyright Retention
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Published articles can be freely shared and reused by the authors, including for:
- Posting on personal or institutional websites and repositories
- Sharing on academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
- Inclusion in institutional or subject repositories
- Use in teaching materials and presentations
Self-Archiving Policy
JSSF supports and encourages authors to self-archive their work:

Article Processing Charges (APC)
JSSF does not charge any fees to authors at any stage of the publication process:
- ✗ No submission fees
- ✗ No article processing charges (APC)
- ✗ No page charges
- ✗ No color figure charges
- ✗ No fast-track review fees
All publication costs are covered by the journal’s institutional support. We believe that financial barriers should never prevent quality research from being published and accessed.
Digital Archiving & Preservation
JSSF is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content:
- All articles are permanently archived on the journal’s platform.
- Published articles are assigned DOIs for persistent identification.
- The journal maintains regular backups of all published content.
Data Sharing Policy
JSSF encourages authors to make their research data available to support transparency and reproducibility:
- Authors are encouraged to deposit datasets in recognized open data repositories (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad).
- Data availability statements should be included in published articles.
- When data cannot be shared due to privacy or ethical constraints, authors should explain the restrictions.
